Computer Hardware Assembly
Sat, Dec 6, 2008 at 3:49PMI absolutely HATE it when people say that they built their own computer. First of all, they are not only using the wrong terminology, but they are also lying! When someone says that they built their own computer, they usually mean that they assembled their own computer. PURCHASING PREMADE COMPUTER COMPONENTS AND SLAPPING THEM TOGETHER IS NOT MAKING OR BUILDING, IT IS ASSEMBLING!!! If you actually built a computer, you would created the schematics, circuit board, solder everything together, program your own ROM and BIOS, and connect it together using current protocols. THIS IS MAKING AND BUILDING A COMPUTER, SO IF ANYONE SAYS THAT THEY BUILT THEIR OWN COMPUTER, GET THIS THROUGH THEIR FUCKING HEAD!!
